Not so my friend. I will acknowledge the merits of their Engineering, and perceive Intel as an "evil monopoly" that only seeks to take over the industry. Not always, but enough so, that even if I did "always" perceive it that way, I would be close. ;-)
Yes, that is why Intel sued nVIDIA because nVIDIA did not want to do what Intel wants. The new bus architecture like QPI is a pure Intel's innovation, that is why hypertransport consortium acknowledges the differences with its interface and did not sue Intel.
