If another CEO crafted similar comments let's say the CEO of CTIC or CEO of HEB and nothing happened in that CEO's "timelime" I think that there would be an uproar over those comments and the "sly wording" and talk about nefarious intentions etc etc.
I don't have a problem with people being defensive over a company they favor - but just be honest, and apply the same rules to all company's and hold their management for making misleading/unrealistic promises and expectations. ARIA's CEO comments IMPLIED that submitting an NDA was much more likely then it turned out to be. Most people that read these statements and comments will be retail investors and while you may be right a pro can smell the BS and may not have inferred much from those comments - I would expect the vast majority of smaller and less astute retail investors who read it would have said to themselves that they should buy more or not sell because the NDA filing was right around the corner.
It all comes down to how you felt about Clinton and the BS with the definition of the word is
"It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is"
If you think that was misleading and BS and that he LIED - then you should apply the same logic to misleading CEO comments that have a "loophole" because they don't say something WILL ABSOLUTELY happen by a certain date and that they are "likely" or "probable"
