Thank you! Friday, my beloved canine friend, Lady, who has been my companion for 17 years, was in so much pain, I had to put her to sleep and I am SICK! over it. Miguel is having a get together for his mother who just arrived from Ecuador and I am about to put that all on for him and her. Lady was my BEST friend and companion, we worked together in my office, she licked my tears when I was sad and drank wine with me when I failed many infertility attempts. The she would uncharacteristically nip at anyone who went near my twins when they were in walkers in my home in hackensack and slept at their feet while they were in their walkers. She would sing with my in my tequila nights and share the margaritas. There will never be another dog like her in my life. I have her daughter, who is 16 and she was HER daughter, not mine. And I have two mixed breed shih tzhus that love each other, but SHE loved me! And now I am very sad. I will put on a good face and greet all the guests and then when all are involved I will slip off to my room to try to get the rest I can't seem to get yet. Laura
