In a Bear market, I use a 10-day moving average. Within the 10 day period are 3 decent up days which weaken the OS signal.

If you are close to a zero percent YTD, I would consider that pretty good with respect to the market averages.

I am about 6% off YTD. But at least I finally have gained an edge on the NDX.
