If MDS is running the trial, they must be confident they can recruit the requisite 20 subjects expeditiously to have entered such an aggressive timeline into the database.

For a CRO like MDS, recruiting 20 healthy subjects for a Phase 1 study in a short period of time is not a big issue. Recruitment for Phase 1 trials are lot simpler and easier to recruit than for Phase 2 and 3 studies. Moreover they have more than 30,000 volunteers in their active database.
