Not On AMERITRADE You dont. thats stupid. Im glad they arent making me do that yet. When they do that next thing you know the stock flies UP and you cannot get in beforehand.
I asked the guy I was placing my order with at Scottrade why I needed to call in and he said that the company does not tell them why. He said that the company puts out a generic statement for many stocks saying that (paraphrasing)"At this time Scottrade is requiring customers to call in purchase orders for this security". He did not have any knowledge as to what causes a stock to be put in that category. My thought is that the age of the company, volatility, and pps might place ENTI in that category. Others here on this board probably have more info on this than I. Anybody?
