Canadian Conservative Government 4-Jul-10 12:43 am

I am certainly no expert with regards to Canadian politics, but I have been reading up on the current Prime Minister of Canada Stephen Harper and the Ministers that will be making the decisions with regards to TGB's new Prosperity Project.

Jim Prentice, Minister of Environment CEAA chair. One tough cookie. Conservative and does not mind ruffling feathers (pardon the pun). Meaning he has taken on FN in the past.

Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Prentic...
Go down about half way to the part about Kelowna Accord and Residential Schools. Very interesting.

He paid his tuition by working as a coal miner in the summer months while attending Dalhousie University. Hmmm? A miner eh. That sounds good to me.

He is a lawyer specialising in physical property rights in cases, among others, arising from restricted development areas. Hmmm? Fish Lake is some what restricted. Maybe he can make it work?

I got the feeling from reading much of his biography that he is conservative. Very pro business and very tough. That's one for Prosperity.

Gail Shea, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans. Best known recently for a pie in the face she got from PETA for her support of the Annual Canadian Seal Hunt. You mean the annual Harp Seal Hunt that makes me cringe every time I see the video? That seal hunt? Yes.

(Here is a link to the CEAA site.

http://www.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/fm-gp/seal-phoq...

There are several interesting facts about the myths surrounding the seal hunt that maybe we should make ourselves aware of. There is also a short video of a Sealer discussing the possibility of losing his income and what it would do the community he lives in.)

After The Pie Incident she said she was proud to take a pie to the face in support of Canadian Sealing industry.

Here is a link for The Pie incident video. Go to the bottom of the page.

That's two for Prosperity.

Lisa Raitt. Minister of Natural Resources. She is a daughter of a coal miner. Hmmm? Another miner. That is very good. She has a Bachelors of Science degree. Masters in Chemistry, specializing in environmental Bio Chemical Toxicology and a law degree. She is famous for saying the she did not think global warming is necessarily a bad thing. WHAT!!!! She goes on to say it will create tourism and shipping opportunities.

WOW! Talk about the glass being half full! That is a TGB Prosperity Trifecta.

If these are the people making the decision about Prosperity and I have read them correctly. They are pro business, luke warm FN and not afraid of political pressure.

I don't think Prosperity has anything to worry about.

TGB (TKO.to) trades today on Toronto Exchange. 5-Jul-10 02:15 am - (Re-posted...)

You can follow TGB/ TKO.to on yahoo by getting a quote on tko/to and you know there will be a new release before the canadian market opens and tko/to will move significantly higher.

the news Friday was good news.

1. Jan 2010 BC Provincial Government report sited eviornmental concerns approved the project as economical benefits outweighed the enviornmental concerns.
2. May 2010 Taskeo signs agreement with Franco Nevada to ensure financing of Prosperity.
3. June 2010 Taskeo receives long tern mining lease for its Prosperity mine from the BC Government.
4. July 2 2010 Federal envirnmental committee issued their report siting similar enviornmental concerns as the BC enviornmental report but did not recommended either project approval or dissapproval ( Report issued after the Market Close)
5. July 2 2010 After the market closed a small group of investors who misinterpreted the federal report drove the stock price down to the $3.40 area.
6. July 5th TGB issues a press release before the market opens saying what has happened and being good neighbors they will make some changes in their mine design to minimize the enviormental concerns and are going forward for Federal approval
7. Stock prices rallies to the $4 to $6 price range
8. Prior to Sept 4 2010 Federal Government approves the project and stock rallies to above $6. (Remember Canada has a conservative government who will put jobs and financial concerns over a relative small enviornmental concerns in addition to their believe in state recommendations.
9. I feel sorry for those who sold in after hours trading but we all know after hours trading is very risky.

Hammer:

2. Light volume Friday AH- (way to trigger stop loss orders for those who are inclined to have them?)
3. I don't have any charts, but this one smells like IWEB at .05, ABTG at .02, and KATX at .0495-- JMHO.. And going to take this ride........................
