According to the filmmaker, the relationship with Nascar and Best Buy—Sprint and Office Depot have also come on in support—is "hugely unusual" for a documentary.

Anyone think that Racing Dreams may get its second wind after relaunching in NY and LA? Looks like Sprint and Office Depot have come on board now too, something we didn't previously know. I'll bet we may have written off RD too quickly.

And a note from a Mr. Hal A. Lewya: A hearty "up yours" to all who said RD was a flop. We have just begun to fight, hide and watch! Big winner on our hands here all around, Theatrical, DVD, VOD.

These are natural sponsors for Racing Dreams. Best Buy and Home Depot sponsor NASCAR cars, and Sprint sponsors the NASCAR Sprint Cup.

There may be other NASCAR car sponsors who could be brought on board for additional "non-traditional" advertising channels.
