It'll happen, just not as quickly as we'd all ( well, almost all ) like to see.

The bad news is the algae problem is going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

The good news is the algae problem is going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

That means when FASC has reached the necessary critical mass to be able to pursue multiple applications on multiple fronts - probably by late this year - there's going to be plenty of algae to work on. And not just offshore China, but all over the world's oceans, seas, and lakes.

In fact, the potential of deliberately-cultivated algae as a feedstock for biofuel is so compelling that the current hysteria about diverting food sources for biofuel feedstock will soon be a forgotten distraction.
