Silver has FAR more applications than gold, in fact in the nearer future silver will be worth far more than gold. It is far more limited in supply and the uses for silver far exceed that of gold.
"Copper is the most common material used for electrical wiring. Silver is the best conductor, but is expensive. Gold is used for high-quality surface-to-surface contacts.
