I fear the trigger that starts pushing interest rates higher won't be recognized until it has begun and once the process is started it will accelerate.
We've had far too many "surprises" that no one saw coming in the last 20 years. Continued reliance on debt and deficit spending cannot be positive in the long term.
I also haven't a clue when the problem will become apparent to investors. I hope we don't reach that point because it will be far more destructive than what the economy is going through now.
