I don't mean to burst your bubble. Judges ought to follow law, in a great many cases do follow law. There are libraries full of books, ahh, not to put to fine a point on it, they're called Law Libraries, describing exactly how judges have not followed law. In some of those stories, of judges not following law, other, bigger, higher?, judges have agreed the judges didn't didn't follow the law. These stories are called reversals. People have lost property, been put in jail, executed because judges didn't follow the law. Ask an Ojibwa, Sioux, Cree, other minorities, poor whites.
