imo LG plans to sell LCoS TVs in the ~50 inch and ~60 inch arenas......considerably less expensive than the 71 inch monster. The 50-60 inch size is the "sweet-spot" for market penetration imo.
ZEEv, why do you think HDTV's stock price was hit so hard the last two weeks? I know it had some analyst downgrades and many other small stocks got hit but this lost close to half its value. I have been looking at various stores and the HDTV's are quickly taking over the showroom floors. Seems pretty positive for this company especially if they dominate the field as you wrote earlier. Any incite?
Zeev, I'm anticipating LCD is going to take over all of that market. Huge capacity coming on line, and not just one application, so there are economies of scale.
LCD has less black than plasma, but plasma is dead technology walking when the total cost of ownership is considered. DLP seems like a transitional technology with respect to TV's.
