BP can't stop it, they won't admit it, but I believe they have finally capitulated. The casing is fractured well under ground below the seabed. When they were pumping mud and junk in there it was just seeping into the fractures surrounding the casing and coming out.
So the efforts must be focused on containment and pickup until the relief wells can be drilled. Obama is finally making his move on BP financially... I expected more. As I said 2-3 weeks ago, I believe he will end up having to nationalize BP America before it is over.
