Why not phone them and ask them rather than speculating as to the reasons? A discussion amongst the uninformed is pointless. Go to the source and ask.

I would say it is definitely a cost saving measure. My first thought was they would keep Santa Ana and its employee's and hire new people in Utah.

Interesting points.

> The lease should have a clause incorporated into it for an X amount of notification time. In their case could be 2 to 3 months.
> Remember the PR said Applied for a Utah state grant. Overall I think they must be moving for leniency of business laws which would get them ahead faster.
> Last but not least = I read that one algae comp built its PBRs beside the airport. Was it Solarzyme ? Since BG is fuel orientated that was the 1st thing I thought of > beside or close to the airport.
> The A/S increase surely has to do with the upcoming overheads.
> With the head start of the PBR, provided there'll be no major tech problems, we may see a (slight) drop in the SP but by then harvesting will have taken place and this should sustain the SP pretty much until solid income surplus statements will render it north even more.

My thoughts:

1.) I can't do this but can someone discover the regulations BEHL is faced with in California. I believe this has a lot to do with it.

2.)We might keep the lease to do the inside science which make sense having a large(I think)inside facility. Probably the last thing to move. Strains can be transported to new site for innoculation. Gives time to produce revenue and to see if the tech takes off enough to have the money to move the science. It looks like the crew to assemble and run the pbr are youthful and able to relocate quickly. So lg. pbr's in utah and 2 years of science in Santa Anna.

3.) distance for investors is no big deal because the science base in SA is local and one trip to utah is all they have to see when shit is rollin'. That 2 yr. lease gives them time to duplicate the location.

I also don't think much will be moved rather purchased/replaced for the new sight.

The corporate & personal tax rate in Utah (5%) vs California (35%) is very friendly for Behl and its employees. The lease at Santa Ana gives plenty of overlap for a move, shouldn't cause any disruption in the business. St. George is closer to Death Valley Junction than Santa Ana. The move on at first glance seems like a good move. California likes to talk green but they sure put up a lot of snags and red tape to get it done.
