So,if it's almost entirely faith based people that you know, your contacts are very limited. I wasn't mainly referring to them. I'm speaking of many who have given significant help and support, who are business people and/or know business. I believe kingent had many of those in mind.

I realize some of kingent's post seemed a bit weaker in spots than other things she has posted. It's not that I'm not aware of any of that.

God and faith are never a problem in my eyes. I am sorry you feel that way. That is why you are so negitive about this.

This post really bothers me. Although I greatly respect Pryme for the knowledge and experience he brings to this board, I have an issue with this post.

First, someone thought to sticky it to the top, yet I can't justify a reason other than the references to God and religion. There isn't one shred of info in the post that makes it 'sticky' worthy.

Second, I think the conclusion is faulty.

So yes, God and faith have a lot to do with this investment, and that is a huge problem.

I disagree. God and faith are not the problem with this investment. The problem is that UNSOPHISTICATED investors bought into it. Actually, you nailed it earlier:

Most of these people have no idea what a balance sheet or a p&l is, let alone how an investment works

Their level of experience as investor is the problem, not their belief system.

I personally know a man of faith who owns well over a million shares of Petro. He died for 23 minutes, and he credits God for bringing him back to life without any ill effects. (as you know, if you're dead for 23 minutes your brain and organs turn to mush) He is also a very successful businessman. I know another with a Phd in theology who has over a million...he is also a very sophisticated investor. I can go on and on listing people who are experienced investors who have faith of one sort of the other. I sit in church every sunday, yet my faith or belief in God is not a hinderance to my ability to make a decision to buy Petro or not. And to be perfectly clear, God was not mentioned in my introduction or due diligence of Petro. I was not invited to 'share the blessing' or I might not have invested. I am wary of anyone who tries to use my faith as a selling proposition and that kind of talk turns me off completely. So perhaps you know hundreds of church folks that invested initially, but there are thousands of folks of varying belief systems who have invested since then. Last I heard there were over 7500 Petro investors.

Heaven forbid that some people of faith make an investment and pray that it is a financial blessing so they can be blessings to others. The world might end.... or at the very least it might merit a sticky on ihub.

Pls agree that the tenants who live at 28 todd pl will move before it gets warm outside, they are very disruptive to the neighborhood, they continue to throw trash outside and keeps up confusion. Also, pls agree that Owen Hawkins will have favor with his business. Also, that the regulators and any other government officials will release Petro America corp of KS so that they can trade successfully on the NYSE.
