[OT] Doc Rivers will surely get accolades for his management of personnel throughout the playoffs and in last night’s game especially. He may look like a magician, but Doc sees these guys every day in practice so he knows what they can do. He also knows what each player can’t do, which is one reason Doc had the “no free-throw” Rondo and Perkins on the bench during much of the fourth quarter.
p.s. If you’ve been watching the NBA long enough to remember Lloyd (“World”) Free, that’s who Nate Robinson reminds me of. In other words, Robinson is one of the best pure offensive players in the game (which is a euphemism for saying that he can score at will but doesn’t play much “D”). He was a great pick-up by the C’s, and I don’t understand why the Knicks let him go.
