I think the rule is that if the insider is in possession of material information not available to the public the trading window for insiders is closed. There is no time limit.

The time limit is when there has been a material public statement, and I don't know if the 8K qualifies or not, and then all insiders can execute trades for about a week usually 10 days after the material announcement has been made.
