APC could’ve been more forthcoming with its disclosures in the first few days after the accident, but I think this lawsuit has no merit whatsoever. The notion that insiders sold in March because they thought the Deepwater Horizon well was at-risk is crazy, IMO.

APC’s insiders have been big sellers for the simple reason that, until recently, the stock was overvalued.

IMO, this investigation and potential threatened legal action is a bunch of nonsense. Let's remember that APC is a minority (25%)partner which was not in control of anything at the well site. I still believe that Transocean (RIG) likely has more liability exposure here than APC.
