I for one will say many a resturant experience was ruined waiting for drinks and waiting for checks... Getting orders processed faster saving on staff (and overhead) will be the seller here. Producing a better resturant overall experience will bring in business. Early adopters of this may get a real edge. I'll sit there and enjoy my meal the same, but when I get my drink fast while I'm looking over the menu and get my check processed fast when I'm ready to bolt will clearly make me happier. This a currently a rare experience. This about dining experience, not getting my grease fast to huff it down.

Agreed. But, without seeing FIRMS in detail, there are other potential benefits besides speed. Order accuracy, customer loyalty programs, inventory control/supply chain management, accounting and tax tools beyond anything that an independent restaurant could ever afford otherwise. For the restaurant, there is an enormous amount of efficiency that will be achieved. For the customer, it will provide a much better dining experience. All of these tools might be available out of the box, or as licensed add-ons through Lecere.
