Real estate professionals have "modest expectations" for improvement in the overall Alabama real estate market, according to the latest Alabama Real Estate Confidence Index compiled by the Alabama Center for Real Estate at The University of Alabama.

The group generally doesn't expect much change in the overall national real estate industry for the second quarter of 2010. The second quarter Alabama market score was positive at 54, a slight deterioration from 57 the previous quarter. The index measures the panel's confidence in the economy based on several factors
