Zeev, you stated repeatedly in the past that double dip is already discounted in the market. Can you elaborate a bit on your thinking?
IMO double dip will lead to a significant reduction in capacity in tech, and many stocks will be priced for extinction. Right now among the semis that I follow only vtss and atml (as well as a number of smaller players like invx and chpc) are acting accordingly.
Every time a bear target is reached they just lower the next target another 10% or so. Much like the bulls in 2000. If the next round of lower targets are hit, i fear we will be in deflation/depression. There is no support for financial assets. The govt/fed may have to act in a dramatic way-- i cant imagine what they could do besides lowering rates tomorrow by at least 1/2 point and i dont even know if the markets would see that as bullish. marv
