nsomniyak challenge (better late than never):

$CASH$--no explanation need.

MED--This diet program/products company is a re-pick from the last contest. They are on track to grow their earnings, I guess, but they haven't opened new centers lately which bugs me. I doubt that I'll finish the contest with MED.

OPCO.ob--This pet supply company has consistently grown its revenues. I own this company and think that eventually it will go to $1 and beyond. This little company seems solid and imo, there is not a lot of risk in owning Our Pets. Of course, anything can come out of left field and ruin an investment. Think BP.

TGA--Aaah, this faithful friend is a small Canadian oil and gas country that drills primarily in Egypt and Yemen. Hardly deepwater oil. Their recent success in drilling wells in Egypt bodes will for the future, imo. Good management. My real-world price target is $10. For this contest, it might already have maxed out..

VKNG--This is my wild card. Here is what they do: "Viking Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:VKNG - News) is a leading worldwide developer, manufacturer and marketer of 2D and 3D visualization solutions for complex minimally invasive surgery. The Company partners with medical device companies and healthcare facilities to provide surgeons with proprietary visualization systems enabling minimally invasive surgical procedures, which reduce patient trauma and recovery time." Zero debt and a float of around 35M. U can buy 4 shares for what a lotto ticket costs.
Their new 3D system should be out later this year. I have high hopes for this stock (outside of the contest).

VSR: Versar is a government contractor. Specifically, "Versar, Inc. provides various professional services to the government and private sector with solutions for infrastructure, facilities management, construction, environmental quality, defense, and homeland security needs in the United States and internationally."
Versar has done a lot of work for the U.S. DOD in Afghanistan and Iraq. They have domestic operations in the U.S. also. This is VERY interesting, imo:

"BAGHDAD, May 26 (Reuters) - Iraq has shortlisted eight foreign firms for the construction of a $3 billion metro rail through the capital Baghdad as it seeks to rebuild infrastructure damaged by decades of war and underinvestment.

Baghdad's municipality media office said on Wednesday the companies -- which include British engineering consultancy firm WS Atkins (ATKW.L) and U.S. project management company Versar (VSR.A) -- would have to present their bids to the project consultants, French engineering group Systra.
