Agreed. I can't really think of any way that he could truly benefit from it. In fact, this will make it MUCH harder for the CEO to actually do anything to the company without our consent. This truly makes the company one that the shareholders control! I'm going to have to work on obtaining more shares. I have always wanted to be a CEO of something, hahaha.
