DROOY definitely looks enticing NOW.
I think its rise will be determined in large measure by whether or not we have real deflation. IMO, the rand is not the major issue. Russell was right when he said years ago we either "inflate or die."
If we deflate Gold will not go up contrary to folks who keep on pitching the 1930's Homestake rise. Homestake rose then NOT as a result of the POG but rather because it invented a more advanced technology for the mining of Gold, thus enabling it to dramatically increase its reserves which were reflected in its own stock price !!

(Then there's the small issue of people being worried about our dollar when in fact the final catalyst for a crash may well come first from a banking crisis in...(drum roll)....China.)

Gold in a nasty bear near term, that will continue.........

Until the wave 2 down is complete around the 330/340 area.

The XAU is due for a bounce but it will be small then continue its slide.

But in a killer 5 wave up and BUY THE CRAP OUT OF THE wave 2 bottom to be complete sometime in 2005 to mid 2006.

This will be the trade to make BIG.
