Could be more than that. Basically, he'll probably get whatever he agreed with the DOJ to accept. How much that is could depend on whether he was able to offer them useful information.
The jail time is nothing. It's the plea agreement to the criminal prosecution with disgorgement of the illgotten gains along with the SEC and IRS civil penalities that really suck in cases like this.
If he gets 0 months, why shouldn't we all do this then. All we have to do when we get caught is give everything back, say we're sorry, admit to the charges and go on.
They better get at least a year or more.
