1. Nearly every politician gets his/her pockets lined and are funded by those who would never support a candidate with those ideals.
2. Most of the people on Capitol Hill already have there own money, and if they don't most of them are on the take, and are as crooked as the day is long.
3. Finally, it's to hard enough to get the Republicans and Democrats to agree on the color of shite, let alone get anything usefull done.
