How can I be prevented from even seeing an email from
some one? The filters don't seem to work or am I doing
some thing wrong?

On the top of your screen (to the right of "Investors Hub") does it say "filtering on" or "filtering off". If it says off click on it and it will change to on and it should work.

You've likely just hidden him.

You need to block him.

Under one of his private messages, click Block.

Filtering is one of about 4 features in the Bob Queue to be worked on.
