Lots of people gave up hope and just quit, I realize that. Some who quit are still telling others to quit. Maybe that helps them justify their decision, I don't know.
All I can say is for me, I've never been keen on quitting when things get rough. It never got anyone anywhere.
Now, on the point of DDI, after a knockdown my personal choice is to stand up, dust myself off and reevaluate what course to take. At .10 and having the orders on the books that DDI has and the recent high profile projects like Ghana, BC-10, and Perdido, DDI is an obvious value play in a sector that is finally coming out of a deep hibernation.
Tack on a planned acquisition that will triple or quadruple the size and capacity ??
Heck, there are companies trading at 5x the valuation that have nothing except a business plan and a few fluff PRs.
Everyone gets to make their own choices and that's what makes our country great. For me, I think we will be needing oil from deep subsea locations and I also think DDI is going to grow into a much bigger position in that sector.
