No they are not the same thing as the short interest in a stock, however, they are usable data on a day to day basis for evaluating that days action to a certain degree. I would also be careful how much regard you direct toward any one trader. No one is always right or always wrong. Such devotion in this arena can be a handicap. Thank you however, for sharing with us and good luck to you.

I think another important point to add to this as we throw around (myself included) speculation of shorts raining on the parade, is that there are very few brokers (Interactive brokers is one) that will allow you to short pinks and OTCBB below a certain price (I think it's below $1). The ones that do, have insane margin requirements. For example to short 1000 shares of a $0.01 stock you need to have $2.50 margin buying power PER SHARE. The reason for this is that .01 stock could jump 1000% + in a single day. Huge risk shorting pennies and not many people have the capital to do it.

Short answer is it does not pay to short pennies and not many people can and do.

Hey QLogics: Do you still follow Jim bishop? Is he still around? I just happened on to one of your former posts. Do you know if he is invested in either ENTI or GOIG, or perhaps both. even? That is some interesting info about shorting. Well, the sellers are sure working us over pretty good before Tuesday, aren't they! I sure hope that there will be enough new and even "old" money come into the stock starting on Tuesday AM, so as to be able to over come all of this selling pressure, not only by the ST flippers & traders, but also by the MM's them selves! GLTA & GO ENTI!! Jaime
