Bearmove: Prior to the August lows, I started surfing severely beaten down 1999/2000 mania stocks looking for survivors that looked technically (per my chart read) ripe for a pop. Most of the issues I targeted were below five bucks and some were below a buck.
A 10 to 20 cent move in most of the stocks would send them to the % Gainers list. That would attract the attention of the momo traders which was usually good for follow through. I usually don't trade stocks below five bucks, but I just could not resist the temptation of placing a few bets on this strategy this past year.
It is a little late to list them now...
