OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) -- Oshkosh Corp. said Wednesday its defense division has received a $600 million order to deliver a line of tactical trucks and cargo trailers for use by the U.S. Army.

The order from the Army's TACOM Life Cycle Management Command calls for Oshkosh to build 1,900 new and refurbished Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck A-4 vehicles, which are used by the Army's logistics and supply fleet.

In addition, Oshkosh also must deliver more than 530 Palletized Load System trailers.

Oshkosh Defense will begin delivering the tactical trucks next month and through September 2011. Production of the trailers will begin June 2011 and continue through October of the same year.
