Clot busters like tPA and urokinase do work, but I wouldn’t recommend using them for VTE prevention :- )
As you probably know, urokinase was withdrawn from the market in the late 1990’s due to manufacturing problems, not because of a deficiency in the drug itself. ABT brought it back to the market in 2002. Regards, Dew
