I have both Scottrade for six years and Zecco since last fall. Scottrade has restricted trades that I wished to engage in. Zecco got me past those kinds of controls.
Both companies have provided excellent support services, responding to my questions by email or phone very promptly and professionally. Yes, Zecco also. I have been very pleased with them thus far with my limited experience.
This isn't to suggest that there would never be problems. I certainly wouldn't know that.
Now, if you also consider my account with ShareBuilder by ING, that is another story. If you buy into their program, I'm sure that it works. But when I went into ING it was my intent to trade small and microcaps and I was able to initiate orders for both. Then they decided to get out of the pennies and that left me hanging with a somewhat worthless broker for my intent and purpose.
