New Xerox Mobile Print Solution to Allow Procter & Gamble to Print from Smartphones
Employees at the Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) will soon be able to print emails, presentations and other business documents directly from their Smartphones. At the company’s Goldmine event today, P&G unveiled Xerox Corporation’s (NYSE: XRX) new mobile print solution to its leadership team as part of its Enterprise Print Services (EPS) strategy, further strengthening its commitment to keeping the workforce mobile, sustainable and productive.

“We have more than 20,000 employees using mobile devices, so taking the hassle out of working on the road is also going to boost employee satisfaction and efficiency,” said Filippo Passerini, president, Global Business Services and chief information officer, P&G. “Xerox’s mobile print capability keeps printing easy and secure – maintaining our agile global workforce and protecting P&G’s brand and intellectual property at the same time.”

Through EPS, P&G simplified and digitized its global printing infrastructure by consolidating devices and controlling how and when documents are printed. The mobile print solution builds on the EPS platform, allowing employees to print without downloading software, mapping to a printer or booting up their laptops.

Using any Smartphone device, employees will simply send documents to a secure server or “cloud.” Documents are held in the cloud until the employee walks up to any printer in the network and enters a code to release the prints. The mobile print solution is the first result of the Xerox and P&G Innovation Council, created to explore future work and technology trends, and design solutions that will benefit the P&G business. Mobile print supports P&G’s “Give Back 500 Million Minutes” program by reducing time employees spend on print and out-put related issues.

“The mobile print capability is an example of how Xerox is extending the value of managed print services for our clients and empowering them with innovative services that benefit their core business,” said Stephen Cronin, president, Xerox Global Services. “Our comprehensive approach delivers the future of printing – cost-effective, productive, environmentally sustainable and mobile.”

Developed closely with customers like P&G, mobile print is the newest addition to Xerox EPS, the only platform to address an organization’s entire print infrastructure – from the networked office to the in-house print center to the virtual worker. Xerox was positioned by Gartner, Inc., in the Leaders Quadrant in the “Magic Quadrant for Managed Print Services Worldwide”1 for 2009 and the company was recognized as a leader in IDC’s 2010 MPS MarketScape report2.

Xerox Premier Partners Global Network Offers New Revenue Opportunities Through Expanded Program
In an effort to help its network of more than 800 leading print providers from 48 countries better connect with current and potential customers, Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) has created a new web platform for its Premier Partners Global Network program. Designed to generate business and drive information and educational opportunities, the web portal is the latest installment to the program, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

“The key priority for our new web platform is to make it very easy for Premier Partners to connect with current and potential customers,” said Gavin Jordan-Smith, vice president, Commercial Print, Premedia Business and Premier Partners Global Network, Xerox Corporation. “We realize our members have many demands; helping them grow business and capture new revenue is now just a mouse click away.”

The peer-to-peer social platform is an open web forum where Premier Partners can share ideas and educational opportunities. The platform has a section dedicated to Xerox companies and business partners, including GMC Software Technology and XMPie®, a Xerox company, where Premier Partners can access promotions, beta and software trials, along with other exclusive opportunities.

Xerox is also launching a web and mobile search application via iPhone and BlackBerry. Print buyers and marketing professionals looking for a print provider can enter the services and applications needed, along with their location. The application integrates Google Maps technology to guide the print buyer to the door of the most appropriate Premier Partner.

“Membership has its benefits, evident by the new business-generating tools Xerox is making available to its Premier Partners,” said Bart Van Deuren, managing director, Publimail nv-sa, in Belgium. “The web portal will allow me to take full advantage of a global network of print providers; sharing insight about how to grow revenue and stay relevant with my customers. It will be a valuable component to my business development plan.”

The new services will be available to Xerox’s Premier Partners in July at http://www.xeroxpremierpartners.com. IPEX 2010 kicks off tomorrow, where attendees will see a full range of Xerox technology and solutions in the Xerox stand in Hall 7; IPEX is taking place May 18-25 in Birmingham, U.K.
