Geo.....my apologies. I was in a bit of a hurry this morning. So, let me take it piece by piece.

To start with.......I don't like being lumped into your "progressives/lefties/socialists/Marxists/Democrats" BS. It's an inadequate substitute for thinking.

Firstly........you ask a question loaded with attitude

and then get indignant when you get attitude back?

Secondly......you claim that

The existing laws are more than adequate to deal with the problem, so the question is....why aren't they being enforced? If employers were given more than a little slap on the wrist for hiring illegals, if the good white folks of AZ and elsewhere were't so fond of their illegal nannies, cooks and gardeners, if business interests couldn't succeed in paying our politicians to look the other way, there would be no problem....illegals wouldn't come here and the ones already here would leave of their own accord. http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=49668679

Even after pointing that out to you for a second time, you still insisted that I offered no solutions. Did you read all of my post or not? As I said, why should I respond to you intelligently when you don't read what I write?

You asked for a brief solution...that's what I gave you, but then you wanna start picking it apart. Did you want brief or not? Unfortunately, the solution to most things is never simple. Do you really wanna deport someone who has been living and working here with tacit wink and nod approval for 20 yrs and has raised his American born children here, because he doesn't have papers? Just something to think about.

Now, do I object to the AZ law?.....not all of it. This part is fine and unless I'm mistaken, already law....you cannot hire illegals:

But this part, I strongly object to:

It's much too vague and gives way too much discretion to dumbshits with badges. The historic examples of abuse when this is the case are legion. After trying to be "brief", to no avail.....after trying to be comprehensive, again to no avail, you have the nerve to tell me

your position of advocacy of the law coupled with excuses for inaction is tacit approval of illegals misconduct and I firmly believe that is the wrong or counter-productive position....

that tacit approval, which you exhibit, is source of my "beef" with you and the progressives....your position is injurious to our nation.

My friend....that is EXACTLY what YOU are doing and you won't acknowledge it. I can only conclude that you just wanna be argumentative. For that....I have no time.
