I started out simply deconstructing the assumptions about the number of Baby Boomers versus the population in general. I looked at AG's statement and went to the census to check the numbers. I was surprised at what I found.

I didn't know that "people die". Are you sure about that?

At the end of the week my only real concern here is this. In 1983 if I have the year right when RR's tax reforms were instituted my take home pay went down. Raising those rates hurts the working struggling people in this country. Doing so based on questionable assumptions about the future demographic and economic circumstances in 2030 just plain pisses me off.

I know I stumble and trip on all the numbers and percents but up until yesterday I would have thought that this baby boom problem was much larger than it actually is. I think that most people would be surprised to learn that there are now more people in the generation behind them. I wonder if AG even knows.
