#6305 RE: DewDiligence #6300

katie and Dew,

I certainly welcome your reservations about COR and your critique of the COR board. COR is my largest holding (disclaimer). Nonetheless, I think there are solid points that Dew always ignores in his critical coments on COR. First, Dew never mentions the already-established partnerships with Organon and Servier, the latter being far less useful than the former. Both companies showed renewed interest--with renewed milestones--in the past year. I realize, of course, that many severe, valid criticisms can be launched against either or both companies, but the fact of the matter is that this continued interest and support by mid-level drug companies is a strong positive. After all, they have scientists and business people working for them too. Their continued faith in COR's Ampakine franchise is a definite positive. Just HOW positive, of course, is a matter of debate.

Second, neither of you ever mentions the scant institutional interest in COR stock. (I realize that this can be looked at as a negative, depending on your perspective.) But again, the fact is that any kind of institutional interest will send the stock price soaring.

Furthermore, Dr. Garren believes that Lilly's failures in the Ampakine field is a strong positive for COR, another point that both of you always fail to mention.

Also, the addition of Gary Tollefson to the Board can't hurt. Not that this means a whole lot, but again, it is certainly a positive, as is the addition of Harry Mansback (from GSK) to the management team.

gfp has been a valuable member of the COR board, as valuable as any Yahoo poster I've ever seen. Yes, his posts may be a bit repetitive, but no poster is beyond reproach.

COR is certainly no slam-dunk, but the risk/reward ratio still looks pretty good to me, even with the recent dilution. Those who uncritically follow Neuroinv have assuredly been chastened by the debacles at PARS and NEOT. Nonetheless, his knowledge and experience in the CNS area ought to be given some consideration.

In any case, one can criticize or support all one wants, but in six-to-nine months, the COR story will begin to really unfold, one way or the other.

A Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year to all.
