Train Guy - thanks for reminding me about SAN. I recall
reading that one, but had forgotten it. Speaking about
water cooled computers, just recall that this certainly
is not a new idea -- I'm sure all of us have thought of
it when we get sufficiently angry at our machines.
Finally, don't forget:

Humanity has advanced, when it has advanced, not because
it has been sober, responsible, and cautious, but
because it has been playful, rebellious, and immature.
Tom Robbins

Cheers,

I dont need to read how breakthroughs occur. I have had many and witnessed many more. It is my business, while yours, obviously, is utilizing the creations of others, while criticising those who created.

You are the one in the dark, and will remain there judging by your attitude.

Small is small!

If science is as slow as you say how do you explain the expansion of scientific knowledge during the past 100 years compared to all of history? Maybe we just have a lot more scientists walking around in the dark tripping over things. Your reliance on anecdotal evidence of accidental discovery as an accurate picture of scientific method suggests you're a person that walks only where the is light. You may never come to understand how 'scientific method' has and will continue to light your path. Instead you'll probably use that newly aquired light to dig up more anectodtes to to support your misguided belief.
