since I'm an old geezer, I can tell you that the biggest concern people had when i was young was:
1) what did Ike score on the front 9?
or
2) what was Jackie Kennedy wearing?
that was the extent government invaded or encroached upon our daily lives....
today....every damn thing is govenment, government, government...
today's laugh is the attempt in a california county to prevent McDonalds from putting a toy in a happy meal!!!

and, then, when I say...."maybe it isn't such a good idea that Obama takes down the Baltic missle defense shield".....I hear that countered by "you're a racist!!!!"
