You know what? Maybe the cleanest way to track real option action for January is to use the new QQQQ strikes (whole numbers). They currently show the 40 QQQQ level as Max Pain. If that's the case, maybe some of this other stuff is just noise.
I have said for some time I thought we could move up to NDX 1692 or so, then dump to NDX 1632, then rise again. I think this is still a possibility here.
