The thing is no one respects my feelings or wishes
whether it "hurts" or not, there are 2 things which I believe we must remember:
1) while the Repubs. are far from being "a prize", the Dems are in power now....so, now it's their turn to take the heat....
2) in the past....'50's, '60's, '70's....even into the '80's, the Rebubs and Dems differed on issues but the population felt that the FOCUS of their disagreement was IN THIS NATION'S BEST INTEREST.....
that feeling has changed.....that's the root of this nation's discontent....
beginning slowly in the 90's and gaining huge momentum after the turn of the century, the Democrat Party has changed dramatically....it was always a conglomeration of special interest groups and ethnic minorities...
now, it is controlled by a core group of radical leftists....it's not the same Party of years ago....Obama and Hillary (two very visible people) proudly proclaim they are progressives (do we have to go thru the list: Pelosi, Schumer, Cummings and about 80 more who are members of the CPC {all Democrats}).....
and, progressivism is associated with socialism....and, socialism is...blah, blah, blah....
So, I, for one, see a very plausible connection between the Democrats in 2010 (I prefer to call them "Obamacrats") and the step towards some variation of the Marxist theme.....I call it hybrid-socialism (as opposed to European socialism).
