Immigration laws haven't been enforced for years, the problem is why isn't Obama enforcing them. I was vehemently opposed when Bush tried amnesty and am so now. 0bama is trying to get votes.

I don't know what to tell you, Bush isn't in office, Bill Clinton isn't in office.... I have always been for enforcing the laws and sending the criminals where they belong....

You are correct and I have been advocating that same thing for years. Make it a serious crime to employ any illegal alien for any reason, and enact serious penalties (mandatory fines and jail time) and enforce the laws relentlessly. We also need to deny social benefits to all illegals -- the hospitals should treat them and then the authorities should deport them. Finally, it is imperative that birth on American soil shall no longer automatically confer citizenship.

If we did these things, the result would be that all the illegals would head back home.
