Setting aside his rhetoric, when push came to shove Ryan voted FOR: TARP, AUTO BAILOUT, TAX on AIG BONUSES. Ryan isn't a stupid guy, in fact I enjoy listening to him but it's too bad Ryan, as bright as he is, couldn't motivate fellow-Repubs to participate openly/honestly in the healthcare reform debate - he didn't/they didn't and now Repubs can only issue press releases whining about what shoulda happened.
