i believe that is still illegal. when you sell a stock you are supposed to wait 30 days before buying it again. not that it is enforced very strictly. or maybe that law has changed?? i see a lot of flippers apparently do that. i will check further.
IS TEN THOUSANDTHS THE SMALLEST INCREMENT FOR TRADING? I THINK NOT!
When a stock hits .0008, lets say I bought 150 million shares. I then sell the 150 million shares for .0009 GTC and put in a buy order for 150 million more shares at .0008 GTC. Doesn't matter if I'm first in queue. No one can undercut me or outbid me. Outbid me and I'll sell to you. Undercut me and I'll buy from you. If the people in front of me change their buy or ask, I immediately move ahead in queue. This would only work with stocks in this range since there's no pricing between ten thousanths.
While my Zecco and Scottrade accounts do not allow buying and selling out beyond four decimal points, I believe that some trading houses may allow it. So I pose this as a question as I see the fifth decimal place shown so often that it suggests to me that the trades do happen in the hundred thousandths increments.
