Well I certainly can't argue with your logic in general. Except that I don't see how it would hurt AMCI management as they and their insiders control the majority of the shares anyway. Meaning, they could still do just about whatever they wanted as far as running the company goes. So, yes it is baffling why they wouldn't want a good valuation of their stock. That's why I think whatever advice they are getting would not be helping anyone but a potential buyer. Just my opinion, I may be all wet.
I wouldn't go so far as to call it blind faith but more as unfulfilled expectations. :-)
