If so, that's at least a 2003 model or older. The new ones are much different in sturdiness. Same with HP. HP was pretty solid before they merged with Compaq.
Do you have a dog or cat that sheds a lot? If not, that helps considerably. Also, I'm not real gentle with my laptops when I travel so I require a tank.
