thanks...and i guess with BioTechs, since many investors tend to be longer term investors and these stocks tend to react more to news/product progress than the overall market bias, it probably is best to stick with the fundamentals and product analysis.
That said, i do think they are tradeable, especially after a positive or negative news event. that is when you get the public chasing them, and that type of volume is either traders or folks just trying to jump on the train for the flavor of the months...invariably, the majority tend to be weak hands that cannot stand too much pain, resulting in good volatility for traders.
i guess that is one of the reason i like CRME, it had it's one day pop, but most of the analyst upgrades came AFTER that announcement, but the stock did not move and volume did not spike. now many would argue that that is because the news and analyst's opinion were priced in..but when looking at volume, it appears to me that those that did the buying were either institution or commited buyers...meaning once the few 'jump on the train' folks are shaken, it should resume it's climb, in a more orderly manner.
