i'm sorry, but that is simply ridiculous. the changes we have experienced due to, say, the internet, are nothing compared to the changes wrought in the 1800s by, say, the train. or 50 years later by, say, the telephone. or 100 years later by, say, cheap mass transportation.
as for globalization, it was in the 1800s america was sending gunboats to open up japan etc.
history did not begin with Intel's 4004. today's technology is new. technological change is not.
