Hate to disappoint but Buy-Ins.net is running inaccurate calculations. They are misrepresenting the short volume data because they do not have a real understanding of what it is comprised of.
They make their money running these reports but not once has any of their data even been tested for accuracy. They might just as well say the short is 20 Billion if they want to go far enough back in time.
By the way Buy-Ins.net runs their analysis the short position would never close since short volume is hovering at 50% (plus or minus) across all markets because of how this number is calculated. I have pointed out to Tom at Buy-Ins.net the regulations that proved he was misunderstanding the data. Apparently the $200.00 people are willing to send for the information without questioning the accuracy of it is good enough to not chage things. Reality is, Tom could never predict what is taking place with certainty or accuracy and it would put him out of business if he were forced to.
